Meet the Owner: Zakk Moorman

Moorman’s Wildlife Management & Pest Control was founded by Zakk Moorman, a Roanoke native and wildlife biologist. Zakk studied biology at Radford University and holds a degree in wildlife management. He started the company to bring science-based, humane wildlife control and honest pest control to homeowners and businesses across Southwest and Central Virginia.

Because Zakk is trained in animal behavior and biology, every job starts with understanding the animal or pest: why it is there, how it got in and what will keep it from coming back. That approach is what sets Moorman’s apart from companies that simply trap or spray.

Why Homeowners Choose Us

One company for the whole problem. Noises in the ceiling might be mice, squirrels or bats. Insects might be coming from a damp crawl space. Because we handle pests, wildlife and the repairs that keep them out, we solve the cause instead of one symptom.

Humane, science-based methods. Our wildlife work is guided by biology and Virginia regulations, with attention to nesting season and young animals.

Clear recommendations. We explain what we found, what we recommend and why, so you can decide with confidence.
